Description
Davidson Candidate Forum – Town Board & CMS Board of Education
The Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with WSIC News, invites the public to attend the Davidson Candidate Forum featuring candidates for the Davidson Town Board and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Board of Education.
This important community event will take place on Thursday, September 25th from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Davidson Town Hall Auditorium, located at 251 South Street, Davidson, NC.
WSIC News will broadcast the forum live on 105.9 FM and across its digital streaming platforms. Justin Ckezepis, station owner and general manager, will serve as the evening’s emcee, guiding a moderated discussion that will include both pre-prepared questions and inquiries submitted by the audience. This event is free and open to the public.
Mayor Rusty Knox, running unopposed, will open the evening with a welcome. The forum will be divided into two sessions:
Davidson Town Board Candidates (Six candidates running for five open seats)
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Board Candidates
This will be the only scheduled forum featuring the CMS candidates, providing a valuable opportunity for voters to hear directly from those seeking to shape local governance and education.
We thank each of the candidates for their willingness to serve and encourage all residents to join us for an evening of civic engagement and meaningful dialogue.
We’re also pleased to welcome Justin Ckezepis, owner and general manager of WSIC News, who will serve as the event emcee. Justin brings his dynamic energy, sharp insight, and broadcast expertise to the session—helping guide the conversation and ensure a smooth and engaging experience for all attendees.
