The Lake Norman Chamber Women’s Open Networking Group provides a welcoming and relaxed space for professional women to connect and build meaningful relationships over coffee and morning refreshments.

Participation is free of charge, with no membership fees, obligations, or long-term commitments required. Whether you’re a stay-at-home mom, retiree, Chamber Ambassador, or volunteer, this inclusive group is open to all. While Chamber membership is not necessary to attend, we encourage exploring the benefits of joining our Chamber community.

This month, we’re focusing on the importance of insurance for both personal and professional security. From health and life insurance to property and business liability coverage, understanding your insurance options is key to safeguarding your future. Industry professionals will be present to provide valuable insights and answer questions, helping you navigate the complexities of insurance with confidence and clarity.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their business cards and name badges to make the most of this networking opportunity. Each gathering features a focused topic and a guest speaker, fostering an engaging and educational environment.

Meet Joy Dillon – Your Friendly Insurance Agent

Joy Dillon is excited to partner with Hammett Insurance. With over 10 years of experience in insurance, Joy is known for her positive attitude, being transparent and honest when working with her customers. She is also able to explain insurance coverages in a simple way, which her customers appreciate. She is recommended regularly because of her customer service, follow-up, and honesty. Joy goes above and beyond to help her customers and find the best policy to meet each customer’s individual needs. Customers have so frequently said “it really IS a joy to work with Joy!” that it’s become her tagline.

Joy was born and raised in the frozen tundra of Northern Michigan and was happy to move South to live in the sunshine in May of 2000. She worked with kids in foster care at a group home in Georgia, which is where she fully developed good listening skills and compassion. Her customers often say they can tell she comes from a Social Work background because she genuinely cares about helping others.

Joy lives in Huntersville with her husband and their cats, and their cousin Melissa who recently moved south. She loves to spoil her nieces and nephews and Godson, and you’ll often hear her talking about their “summer camp” with the kids.

Focusing strictly on health insurance, Erin offers a wide variety of products for all ages from newborns to Medicare to ensure the best coverage for her clients. Erin’s passion lies within the Medicare space where she gets to serve seniors on their path of making critical Medicare decisions.
