On Tuesday, January 25th, the Lake Norman Chamber will host a Lunch n’ Learn on “Competitive Intelligence” with Thomas Torres. The professional development seminar will be held virtually via Zoom. What exactly is "Competitive Intelligence?" Competitive intelligence refers to the ability to gather, analyze, and use information and data collected on competitors, customers, clients and other market factors that contribute to a business's competitive advantage.

Competitive intelligence is important because it helps a business owner or manager understand their competitive environment and the opportunities, challenges they face.

Thomas Torres, our facilitator for the January Lunch n’ Learn, will share:

Ideas on how to understand your clients and customer’s needs with greater clarity and how to cultivate closer relationships with them;

Methods to monitor your competitor’s activities and forecast their future business intentions;

And understanding competitive intelligence collection methods that supports strategic and tactical decision making.

About our speaker: 

Tom Torres is the Chief Executive Officer at Adapt Intelligence, a boutique competitive intelligence firm. Tom is a former diplomat and intelligence officer who served in the U.S. Department of State (DoS) and in the United States Air Force (USAF) for over two decades. Tom leverages his diplomatic and intelligence community experience to help firms build better relationships with clients, collect and analyze relevant competitive information and inform strategic decision makers.
